Bottled up some marzen style lager over the weekend. I usually go with the individual 16oz bottles but this time I went for the 22oz. I must say there are few things as satisfying then two cases of homemade beer. Looking forward to crackin a 22 of my own creation in just a short while.
National Bohemian, the choice beer from the “The Greatest City in America”, Baltimore, holds a special place in my heart. As the temperature heats up, summer time beers become essential to getting through the thick afternoons. While I can’t get Natty Boh down in C’Ville when I make the trip the the Baltimore area or “downey ocean” I always pick up a case to bring back.
Recently The Washington Post published an article containing the results of a blind taste test of domestic canned beers. Of course National Bohemian, from the land of pleasant living, won. One review went as far as to say National Bohemian had the, “Most assertive and palatable flavor.”

Much has been made of Errol Morris’ commercials for Miller High Life in the years since they were released, but I still can’t get enough of these commercials. To be honest I haven’t seen any of his other movies like The Fog of War and Gates of Heaven but I love these commercials. I will have to get to those films sooner than later, Roger Ebert called Gates of Heaven “one of the 10 best films of all time.”
With summer times on the horizon, I know there will be some High Life in my future.
